Hello.   What is this dog used for? It looks like a hunting dog, very handsome too!  What do you do with your dogs?

 

wow! I’ve just googled them. What an interesting dog, very rare, even in Vietnam. I read that it is difficult to get them. Do you show your dogs? How many do you have?

I googled it and there are 2 different breed. The Thai Ridgeback looks heavier boned to me.

@Kirislin, apparently they have been used for carting, escort, hunting, and guard dog throughout its history. Similar to other ridgebacks and only 700 registered in Vietnam let alone the world!

I like that they have the 'ancient dog' look about them, with a confident stance - bit like Basenjis - the first photo shows an almost Basenji-like head, (well there's a bit of wrinkle).

Yes, I agree. I think they’re really handsome!

The multi coloured tongue is cool as well. You see a lot of dogs that are similar everywhere in asia.

But they are lovely.
