MasterBevel
I have a Kelpie x 2 year old who is a rescue dog. I am currently having some trouble with her social interactions wth other dogs. I would like a recommendation for a dog trainer or behaviourists in the Canberra region. She is happy to interact with some dogs, it just depends on their initial reaction to her behaviour. When introducing her to new dogs I am very aware of her behaviour and introduce her slowly to dogs. She spends a lot of time with me so I would like to work on this. Any help welcome, thank you
Diva
Paul Walsh at the Canine Coach might be worth a try. I haven’t used him for training but he has a good reputation. I have used his dog walking services and was happy with him. If you prefer a vet, Helen Purdham at Hall Vet has an interest in behaviour. I don’t think she is a specialist but I believe she does a lot of work in the field. I think I would start with someone like Paul though. Or if you wanted to go to Sydney, Steve Courtney at k9pro. trifecta
Heike Hahner at Braidwood comes to Canberra for one on one consults. You may have heard her on the radio on Sunday mornings? I don't have her new mobile number but if you are on Facebook you could contact her on Messenger.
Guest crazydoglady99
Paul the Canine Coach is great. I really like him. I initially used him for a MAJOR problem dog I had. But also had him to help me make sure I was doing the right thing for me gorgeous girl. He gives you a written plan too, I still read that plan 4 years later!!!!
