01kismet
Sorry if this has been covered before, I did search. We've recently gotten a new pup, she's a giant breed so insurance is on my mind just in case. She is also on contract where her kennel may want to breed her depending how she develops. So for the just in case - any recommendations on a pet insurance plan that'd cover the normal things (hips, leg problems, ligament, not sure what else) and pregnancy just in case please? Mjosa
I do not know of any insurance company that would cover a bitch for pregnancy, they only cover for illness and injuries, pregnancy is something the owner takes on with any risks involved.
The Spotted Devil
Nope. Not something that is available. All the policies exclude it hence why I don’t bother with insurance!
01kismet
Thank you. I've found one that I 'think' may cover it for registered breeders but I'll have to look into it more. If it does I may see if her kennel will do it and I just pay. Such a shame really.

I think you might run into problems that way. Surely it would need to be in your name as the registered owner? And if it was in their name then they’d have to be the ones paying for bills and lodging claims? More research and consideration required!
Dogsfevr
Any vet bills and issues per breeder terms should have been covered before purchase ie your expectations and there’s as to who pays what and the risks
JRG
I have looked for years for an insurance company who will cover medical bills for kennels — no interest I’m afraid they just laugh at you!!
