_PL_
How about this paid FB ad with lots of key words all smooshed together into an even vaguer spiel.

It's like the Inception of non-profit fundraising. Give generously today so we can build extra fundraising tools for you to (maybe) give generously tomorrow. Uh... Desexing! I suspect the "heaps of development work" they need to do is so the new button will tie into the adopter profiles... ... give once to this "desexing" fund... ... then they can start grooming you to be a regular giver to PetRescue. Rescue groups will still lose out - it's just they'll not be able to complain about it.

Also, rescue groups have always managed to find the money to desex their animals before adoption - why are these people suddenly their saviour? It will be believable when they actually give xyz rescue $xx towards desexing one of their adoptees and the rescue verifies that, not airy fairy promises of some sort of help down the line.
shel
These high-production and lovely little cards are being offered to every single one of your adopters and applicants, while also offering a streamlined donation process of a few clicks. Your supporters are being told a donation to PetRescue is the same as - or even superior to - a donation to you. The blurring of the line between rescue and PetRescue, is basically complete. If you're a rescue group who relies on donations, you almost certainly don't have the resources to compete with this. "Simply make a donation to our “Happy Desexmas” fundraiser and your kind gift will help rescue pets get the vital vet work they need to start a new life - including desexing!" http://mailchi.mp/petrescue/desexmas-3-81??e=[UNIQID] If someone broke into your house and stole your organisation's Christmas funds, the community would be outraged. PetRescue is doing it in plain sight and yet we still hand over the keys - the contact details of adopters - to an organisation which is making no secret of its intention to rob rescue.
_PL_
Please download and PM (message) this alert to your local rescue group. They're likely too busy doing *actual rescuing* to be aware that this is going on behind the scenes and that they're losing funds right now. tdierikx
I wonder if they can prove what they are claiming in paragraph 5... I'm thinking not... T.
RuralPug
We can judge for ourselves. See PetRescue's registered financial statements for the last few years here The registered statement for the 2017 year is due in a month or so. Now PetRescue are great at blowing their own trumpet so why don't they detail on their website just precisely how much in cash and goods they have given to each of the rescues on their list? Oh, gosh, could it be that they don't wish to admit that almost nothing at all goes to the rescues? (Sarcasm mode ON).
_PL_
We do get things like cat subsidies, jackets, a couple of flights, dog food and the latest thing is Frontline ..... but they pay for none of it. They facilitate but claim credit. An itemised list has never been offered nor the results from the 'member survey' but I'm not game to ask LOL. I bitch and moan enough as it is. They are looking for new nicer area offices for Melbourne now. (They have WA offices already). We're working towards getting off PR altogether and deleting the account. Anyone not using theirs anymore needs to delete and walk now. Edited December 17, 2017 by Powerlegs

_PL_
Plenty, especially when they are apparently constantly working on corporate sponsorship, there is no reason they can't get it done one way or the other.
