Puppy just changed - from normal to nervous and clingy

Need some advice. 

 

I have a 10.5 week male yorkie. Hes sweet as pie. Plays constantly with his toys and can entertain himself as well as us. 

All weekend he has been doing his normal routine, play, nap, poo/pee, eat, play, etc etc. Then after his nap in the evening, he woke up followed my husband and I around the house and whined to be picked up. So i did because i just love to cuddle. Thats when i noticed him acting strange. He would pace up and down. Not touch his toys. Would sit on his puppy steps look at the carpet, walk up the steps to the sofa, back down to the steps, on the carpet, back on the steps, run to me for back up and reassurance, and it repeated until he went to sleep with my husband on the sofa around midnight. 

Is this normal? He seemed normal this morning. Played with his toys. Ate his food. Napped. Poo/peed. Hubby says he is fine but I read that it could be puppy had a urinary tract infection. I checked him out. Checked his behind. His temperature. My husband thinks i'm being too much. 

 

Can anyone explain or have gone through similar with their pup?

 

Just wanted to add that during his nap before he went strange, he was making noises in his sleep. Like little whiney crying noises. Bad dream? Can that effect them?

I did read this before posting. I just thought there could be another reason.

puppies are funny little creatures and often do things that no one can explain. It almost sounds like a pain response but that could be just because he was a bit constipated for example.  I think he felt off and wasn't sure how to fix it. This morning he feels fine and is acting normal.

Pups/dogs do dream ... a lot! like us , some dreams can appear 'bad' dreams .  perfectly normal . 
being a living creature..he will have different moods/reactions to things ....he is also still a baby.
Infants of all sorts can have times of really wanting to eat or play ... but the body says "rest time" ..so they wander and whinge , trying to stay awake until sleep finally wins  .... LOL

My husband has been sending me updates and pics. All seems to be ok and back to normal. But i sometimes think he's just saying that to shut me up  LOL

My pup did pee twice in his designated area. And did his no.2 later also. Could have been constipation.... I am the biggest worry wart!

His dream noises sounded off. Definitely wasn't running in a field of yellow daisies dream thats for sure. Poor babes. 

 

Is it bad that I like that he was clingy to me. Wrapped and held him in the cardi i was wearing. Could've taken him to my bed if hubby wasn't around. Lol

Don't diagnose yourself. If you are really worried take him to the vet.

Be careful though that you don’t reinforce that “whining = cuddles and love.”

Dont create a monster but over thinking things .Also don’t turn your Yorke into a carry around pet nervous pet .

Puppy could have had a gut ache ,sometimes the days activities can be just to much  for puppy and there just too tired to sleep ,like a toddler that hits the wall but won’t sleep .
