_PL_
Council pays $10 per cat scalp http://www.couriermail.com.au/news/queensland/queenslands-banana-shire-council-introduces-10-feral-cat-bounty/news-story/6054163de1f1cc5460ca29278e117d05 I'm all for cat control btw but how could you tell if a cat is feral just by it's scalp. How many sicko's will be in heaven with being paid to mutilate a dead animal. Edited October 14, 2017 by Powerlegs changed title 2 Link to comment
persephone
good idea in principle ... Hope cat owners now keep their loved ones inside- or they'll be easy pickings!! Unfortunately , it doesn't clarify how cats are to be killed. 1 Link to comment

Agree, and with the restriction to rural properties it should not impact suburban and pet cats. Can only hope for long term benefits in attitudes and responsibility. For the 'how' I don't know - shooting isn't possible everywhere, even rural properties not always suited. Trapping - what are the options then? Vets will not take on a trapped feral cat or fox to euthanase. 1 Link to comment
