joby
Woke up this morning to a dog with very gluey eyes. I have been told I can use human Chlorig on dogs is this correct? Not sure if it is bacterial or viral?
Papillon Kisses
Please go to your vet! Edited August 31, 2017 by Papillon Kisses
Mjosa
Definitely needs the vet to see what is going on. I never use human medication on my dogs, especially the eyes, unless OK'd by the vet. Your dog would need the eyes bathed to clear away the discharge.
Dogsfevr
Yes human chlorig can be used but we would do the vets first to make sure there isn't any issues
karen15
with horses with conjunctivitis you use salt water and wipe inside corner to outside corner, one wipe per cotton ball. Eyes are not something to mess around with and I always lean to vet. I've had a dog with an eye ulcer and prompt treatment is paramount to limit any damage.
