westiemum
Hi All, I'm having a devil of a time trying to find the terrific tripe treats (freeze-dried I think) I bought a while ago from a groomers - and I don't have the bag anymore and can't remember the brand I 'm after really good quality, Australian made, freeze-dried or dehydrated treats for the westies - prefer tripe but would be happy to try other recommended brands and types, as long as they are Australian made. Any suggestions please? (The westies and their grandmother are desperate!) TIA
Arcsenciel
Meals for Mutts has dehydrated 100% green tripe treats, as well as a green tripe powder. I believe that Rogue Royalty also has dehydrated strips of cold-washed green tripe. Both can be bought online.
Papillon Kisses
We have this one from K9 Natural, but it's of course NZ and I don't know how one judges quality? Sharing in case the pack looks familiar.

PossumCorner
Just curious, if they are fairly hard to source, does anyone buy tripe from their local butcher and dry it in a household dehydrator? Would this be much different to the commercial treat product?

OMG the stink you have no idea how bad it was Never never dry green tripe yourself ever
PossumCorner
Okay - thanks. (But that does make it sound like something Rheneas would love).
Diva
What you get from your local butcher will be bleached tripe, not green. Not smelly but not as attractive to dogs either. You need a dog supply place or abattoir for green. Edited June 30, 2017 by Diva
