dididog
I'm acquiring a new addition at the end of June and am trying to decide what to do regarding training schools. With my first pup I had very little money and couldn't drive so went to a crappy pet store run puppy school. Now can drive and don't mind investing a reasonable amount of $$$ for a good experience so would like any recommendations/insight! Looking for something that's not a free for all, run by an actual experienced trainer who knows what they're talking about and a light hearted environment where fun for the pup is the focus. Not really after something aimed at first time owners who don't know much about dogs. Doesn't even need to be a puppy class persay just looking for a good introduction to working around other dogs and socialisation in a controlled environment. Would be nice to find somewhere to continue doing classes long term too. I'm in the inner west but will consider anything under 45mins drive away! JRG
I go to a good one in Werribee area - and travel a reasonable way to get there!. PM me if you want details.
Two Best Dogs!
The K9 company (multiple locations multiple days and times) ($25 a class) - multiple trainers of assorted backgrounds and experience Positive K9 Training in Kew ($20 a class or 5 classes for $80) - multiple trainers of assorted backgrounds and experience I just noticed that K9 Elementary (where I do my noseworks) will be starting sunday night dog schools soon. That seems super convenient! Casual training classes are continuing on Sunday's at 6pm. Classes will concentrate on engagement, building a relationship with your dog and life skills for a well-behaved pet. The cost of each class is $16.50. I think all 3 schools have trainers who are NDTF + NDTF students.
