MARNEV13
I have a young puppy 4 1/2mths old, Shih Tzu/Silkie cross. She has been on a kibble plus wet food diet. She has suddenly taken to not eating the kibble and only the dog roll. Is this ok for a balanced diet. Could it be due to her teething as she lost at least one of her puppy teeth that I have seen. Would a dog roll only diet with a chewing bone be ok for her teeth/health? First time for me to have a puppy through to adult (only ever had adult dogs). She seems very happy and her weight is good. Thanks for your help.
Rebanne
Her mouth could be sore. I'd persist with the kibble but maybe soak it first and sprinkle a tiny amount of parmesan cheese over it. Dog roll and chicken wings 3 or 4 times a week would most likely be ok but she must eat the chicken wing.
MARNEV13
Thanks Rebanne, thought it might have been this as she was very happy to have the kibble before. Will try soaking it and the parmesan cheese over it.
