Kirislin
I've seen lots before but I think these are the best I've seen. She can even incorporate some of the original dogs hair in some, probably the long haired ones I suppose. Anyway have a look. Psst I'm in love with the little mousie https://www.facebook.com/feltfinesse/?hc_location=ufi

julesluvscavs
Beautiful ! A group of my Cavalier friends kindly gave my husband and i some money to get one done of our Renae (after she passed away) The lady who does them lives in Japan and specialises in Cavaliers ones. I didn't think about it but i wish i had sent her some of Renae's fur to use when she was making it (as i kept some after) We have Renaes collar with her name tag hanging over the neck of her felt likeness ;) We wanted it modeled on Renae in her elderly years with her 'smile' Edited January 7, 2017 by julesluvscavs

Is there anyway you can post the photos so they're larger? even when I click on them they're the same size, I'd love to see the detail. It's a beautiful gesture that your friends chipped in to help you get it made.

PossumCorner
Useful photos-article on needle felting - methods, selling at markets, sourcing equipment etc in the current issue of "Town and Country Farmer" (Australia) magazine at newsagents. Simply Grand
I am in love with these and am following the lady from the op on FB, she does such good work. Hopefully I can get them done as a memorial for my dogs and any special fosters that I lose to the Rainbow Bridge.
Kirislin
I think it works particularly well with rough coated dogs. It wouldn't be quite as effective on a shiny whippet or IG for example, although I still think they'd be lovely. Some of the little Shih tzu types with moustaches and eyebrows just look like tiny little fairy dogs sitting in her hand!
