mowgliandme
I am in melbourne so our house is normally pretty cool but here are a few suggestions that i would use outside but some of them should be fine indoors too if you have tiles or floor boards :) Wet towel to lie on or a cool gel mat Ice in their water (larger pieces keep it cool for longer so we fill little containers) Freezing water in a milk bottle overnight - mine like to lie on it! Icey treats like veggies/chicken necks in stock (no onion or salt) frozen can keep them entertained too - not an indoors thing! Closing curtains/blinds also helps keep our house cooler on very hot days They are adorable! I think if they have access to lots of drinking water most dogs are comfortable inside? :) But im not from Queensland so someone else will probably know more! Two Best Dogs!
I close everything up, blinds down all day, roll up the rugs so we have nice cool wood. I have cold mats like that...for both me and the dog! They are a god send. Water EVERYWHERE. Perhaps even consider a blue shell with water, although might be a concern for your short-legged-one. Raised bedding, artificial shade with blankets via the clothes line. Frozen bottles Frozen bones I love your matched yet mismatched pair!
Papillon Kisses
I love your matched yet mismatched pair! Me too! :D I bought our Papillon a cooling mat and a cooling bandana but he disliked both. He preferred to rotisserie himself in front of a fan. westiemum
Aldi have 'medium' size dog cooling mats for $14.99 at the moment - maybe a couple of those? Edited November 11, 2016 by westiemum
