Scottsmum
What a crappy situation but you're probably best to have returned her. You can have a fresh start now.

Two Best Dogs!
For what it's worth, I think you did the right thing. I really feel for you though, what a tough situation. Hoping you find your perfect dog very soon. Agree 100%. Very unfair nonetheless. Thirded. Please go forward with a clear heart! I know the hunting is so frustrating, but it will be worth it when you get your future dog. There are lots of perfect dogs out there.
Remidog
Thank you everyone for your kind words ???? Spoken to a few breeders and chatted it over with my husband. We actually think we will get a puppy next time as we have 2 small children who would grow up with the dog. Knowing the dogs history would make me feel better about having him/her around our kids all the time too :) There is a registered breeder not too far from us who has puppies ready to go in a few weeks, so we are just deciding if we will go with them or wait a couple more months. All of the breeders I've spoken to have been so kind and helpful! So if any of you are on here, thank you!
westiemum
Any news Remidog? How are you getting on? (I feel like being very naughty and asking "Have they given the dog up again yet'? But I won't...)
mita
Good decision, Remi, to give the dog back. It had nothing to do with the poor dog, but everything to do with the behaviours of the people who flip-flopped. Whatever their motivations. It was not a solid foundation for your feeling secure & 'right' in owning the dog. And good on you for moving forward & planning out your next step so thoughtfully.
