leopuppy04
Hi All, I am sure this has been mentioned recently but I can't seem to find the thread - please feel free to direct me to it! Now that Dr Rawlinson has retired, I have a 2yo dog that needs his hips and elbows tested but unsure where to send it. Would appreciate some suggestions please :) Thanks,

The Spotted Devil
I am considering doing both Penn Hip and AVA (now ANKC) - a specialist at Monash recommended AVA last time because the data on field-bred ESS is rare anyway and AVA is better understood in this scenario. bridgie_cat
can you email xrays to anyone? or is it all by post with CDs/USBs?
piper
I know a few people who have sent theirs to Dr Jenny Richardson in WA and been happy with the speed of service and the results. She apparently trained with Wyburn.
Diva
There are 3 radiologists on the ANKC panel, Lavelle, Richardson and Makara. Contact details are on the ANKC website.
GoldenWei
I'm about to do one of mine next week.... Dr Karen Hedberg is the vet who does all my x-rays, she is sending them to Makara, so it will be interesting to see the results. I didn't breed this boy, lines are different to what I have had previously, scores are pretty good all the way through his pedigree though so I'm hoping his will be too. I haven't had any done since Dr Rawlinson retired.

bridgie_cat
I sent mine to Dr Lavelle - was able to email them in DICOM format and got results really fast - I was surprised! (I think it was just a few days?!)

Katie P
We have just used Makara for 5 of our dogs. Excellent service- we express posted the disks and had results within 24-48 hours. Very happy with the scores as well.
