I haven't got a new dog yet.

Just contacting breeders via phone or email.

Didnt know it was this competitive and no guarantees and prices have gone up alot aswell.

Fair bit has changed in the last ten years.

We found similar....11 years since we had researched breeds and found a breeder and a puppy ...things have changed...and prices are a lot higher.

The prices have gone up too much.

The prices Registered breeders charge has pushed up the prices for everyone else.

Its not breeders fault the government have pushed up the prices.

Not so sure the government has anything to do with prices?  I imagine its a combination of supply and demand, some breeders doing extra and charging more then others pick up on the price, and simply charging what people are prepared to pay.

 

Just make sure you're  giving your hard earned money to an ethical breeder ticking all the right boxes and your pup will be worth every cent.
