josdi90
Hey guys, been doing a lot of research on raw feeding and was just wondering how I was going with it. I feed 900g per day. He gets liver as his organ for now and I've also got some kidneys. I'm using gizzards and chicken hearts at the moment for his meat but I will be throwing in some sort of beef once he's on track and the abattoir has my ofal mix ready. I Also have duck necks and chicken feet that I've split into each meal and also have green tripe. All up he gets around 100g organs and 800g meat. I've also got calci-d powder for a calcium supplement if needed. EDIT: he weighs 33kgs at 13 months Edited May 31, 2016 by josdi90

Scottsmum
My fav raw feeding resource - by a DOL member. http://www.balanced-canine.com/#!raw-feeding/cpgh I highly recommend her CALCULATOR PS _ What breed is he? How big do you expect him to get.
denali
Ok, so 900g is a good place to start. However, they generally recommend sticking to just chicken for the first week or so- no organs at al- unless you have already been feeding them these often. This is an excellent website that explains it all :) http://perfectlyrawsome.com/dogs/raw-feeding-transition-guide-for-dogs/

piper
The thing that confuses me is why the calcium supplement? With a raw diet, you should be including nice meaty bones in there so that he gets the calcium naturally as well the dental benefits associated with chewing and tearing.
