Protection Training In Brisbane

Hiya, just wondering whether anyone can recommend a training school around Brisbane that provide protection training?

Around 16 years ago I sent my previous GSD to a trainer in the Brisbane South area for protection training. My view at the time, and I could be wrong, was that the method used by that school seemed harsh and involved much leash yanking. In short, I was not entirely satisfied with the approach.

Of course, that was almost 20 years ago and, since I don’t participate in dog sport, for all I know everyone trained that way back then.

But I digress.

Now I have an 18 months old GSD pup, which is about the right age to start protection work.

I’d appreciate any recommendations, though preferably trainers/schools you’ve dealt with personally.

Are you looking for protection work as in real life protection/security etc or protection sport?
