I'm looking for a dog bed that our Jack Russell puppies won't destroy instantly. Anyone have good recommendations or reviews on the kuranda beds vs. snooza beds?

I've narrowed it down to the Kuranda small bed - http://www.kennelsolutions.com.au/kuranda_dog_beds/poly-resin_dog_bed/57_small_size_-_poly_resin_dog_bed/detailed_product_flyer.html or the

Snooza flea free bed - http://www.mypetwarehouse.com.au/snooza-dog-flea-free-bed-small-69x55cm-p-1071

The Kuranda is $128.55 once you add the vinyl and delivery.

The Snooza is $80 incl delivery.

Anyone have any experiences with either they can share please?

I second what Persephone says about cardboard blanket box cut in half - makes two beds... and op shop for old tshirts and blankets and jumpers (or have your own wardrobe purge).

One my dog got to about 18 months we graduated to a "plastic" cardboard box ie one of these (other shops sell them, RSPCA have started using them too)

I've just gone in another direction. I recently bought one of those beds with high foam covered walls. It's big enough for all the dogs to get into and they love it. Then Secret started chewing the corners where she could get a hold of the material. I tried putting wound guard on it but the bloody sprayer wouldn't work so I tried lavender oil. It worked but then she took to just the walls of it, so I got a little paint brush and painted lavender oil all along the edges. It seems to be working and the bed smells very pretty. She has since turned her attention to a smaller older bed though :( I've temporarily rescued it until she either grows out of the chewing stage or I might try putting it through the wash with the final rinse a heavy dose of lavener oil, after I've repaired the hole she made in it. :mad
