You might not be so lucky next time... I'd defintely be considering speaking to her specialist about speying when she is well again as having to go in to spey when it's an emergency in an already compromised dog is quite a scary option! Yes and I'd be speaking with them again and asking if they are truly happy with that decision should she end up with a reoccurence and pyo and having to go under then - I wouldn't be. She was supposed to die 5 years ago. She could die at any second from liver failure. If she goes under a general she may not wake up as her liver is stuffed. Even treating her with medications is a dicey business if the medication is processed via the liver. As long as she wants to be here I'll help her. No discharge and abdomen doesn't appear to be swollen or hot. It sounds like she's doing better, even if she's a bit on the quiet side. How are you doing? She just ate a cookie! First time as she has been spitting them out and i have been breaking them up into little bits for her. She is funny when she is off her food as it looks like there is something wrong with her teeth. When she first had issues with her liver and went off her food I did think it was her teeth for ages. But she also doesn't like super mushy stuff like cottage cheese!
