persephone
Dear Noobie - yes, everyone starts somewhere. yes, puppy is cute . ALL pups are cute . ;) yes you are asking questions *ten thousand points awarded* !! However - you really are making a lot more difficult than it can be . You have probably fallen for the story of Mum being sick .It is used often to offload pups early , so 'breeder' doesn't have to pay vet costs /food costs . this is an illegal sale . the breeds that are supposedly in pup's genes will make for a very smart and needy dog a 6 week old will come with a bladder the size of a toothpaste tube lid ;) Toileting will need to happen at least every half hour. At 6 weeks, bite inhibition /encroaching personal space etc will not have been properly taught by MUM > I know - you have come here & asked, & no one is really happy with your choice . Sorry . most of us have been there, done that. Will never do it again. Now I am going to give you yet more reading ;) Pls at least glance at it , OK . :) CLICK CLICK CLICK and an excerpt : Huskies are NOT suitable for inexperienced owners. That goes for husky crosses. I find them delightful, and interesting - but then I am a dog trainer and certifiedly insane when it comes to dogs. Unless your sister had time (and I mean significant amounts of it - at least two hours per dog, per day during the week and more on the weekend) to devote to obedience training for both dogs (separately) so that she acquires that missing experience in a hurry, she should give a polite "thanks, but no thanks, I don't deal with back yard breeders". Thats not even going into the size, grooming, exercise commitments this kind of cross needs.
