Leah82
Some of you know I help out a rescue called Rainy Day Rescue, a low turn over special needs rescue in Victoria. Well yesterday was a perfect example of what can be accomplished when rescues and pounds work together and at the end of the day it's actually nice not to be needed From Blacktown https://www.facebook.com/BlacktownAHF/posts/855091981270283 What happened behind the scenes... stellnme
What a great story and ending for the Pei and well done to all involved for checking just that little bit further with the microchip. Sounds like his original owner is more than happy to provide care and medication and pick up where she left off 13 years ago. There are many stories in rescue where people go above and beyond to do the best for the animal. Thanks, Leah, for sharing. Great result.
mita
That was an amazing story! The long arm of a microchip reached over 13 years! And to think I'd just been talking on the Tibbie list about how great it was that a microchip brought a Gold Coast tibbie home.... after 8 months. But you were ready to help the Pei, even if there'd been no owner located. Thank you for posting. Rescue, with all the will in the world, has many sad endings. So good to be reminded that some happy endings happen against the hugest odds.
