Mrs Rusty Bucket
I think Victoria changed their dog attack laws so that the owner of the dog will be charged with assault if their dog attacks and harms another human... It was about getting more accountability on the owner to take responsibility for the actions of the dog. And I agree with that. Before - it was too easy for owners to blame the dog and never do anything to secure the dog properly or prevent it attacking people or other dogs and there'd be no jail time no matter how much damage the dog did. So I'm glad that law has changed and this man has been charged. Tho (didn't look at the link) seems like him and his dog both attacked. Frankston has a bit of a split personality at the moment. There's some really expensive real estate in the area but the people who think violence is a good way to solve problems are clearly still there. Ruffles
what an odd turn of events. I didn't read the article though because I hate the ads I am forced to watch. I am no expert in what a dog bite on a face would look like but I got bitten on the leg once and although it barely broke the skin I had the most enormous bruise from it that took a couple of months to disappear. I cant see any bruising on that ladys face. They should be able to tell if it was a bite though, surely they'd take saliva swabs from her skin to ascertain if it was a dog? My thoughts were the same. I've been bitten by the derper dog on the leg and the bruising was terrible and lasted for several weeks (and I don't normally bruise easily), despite no broken skin at all. I'd guess two Franga bogans had a fight, one was unfortunate enough to have an unregistered bull breed and the female Franga bogan decided to get the last lick in by having his dog killed. Agreed. Rebanne
HIT HER WITH A TROLLEY? I'd say no way, but it IS Franskton...haha. not a supermarket trolley but a moving type one, sometimes used at dog shows to move stuff around
Animal House
Seems to be a few different opinions of what happened, he hit her with a moving trolley, another person said two big pieces of wood, and she's claiming the dog did it. weird. JulesP
Those moving trolleys aren't super light that you could pick one up and whack someone around the head with it. And I imagine the force needed to swing it would probably result in a crushed head. Yep weird.
Canisbellum
That is no dog bite, they leave deep puncture wounds and rip chunks out. That is sliced down to her neck and though she claims the dog had a chunk of cheek in its mouth there is no bits missing from her place or a chunk stitched back in. And as has been said there is no bruising, as for her arm when was the last time a dog jumped up and bit you under the arm. In a dog attack the wounds would be to the hands or forearms as she tried to defend herself. Complete and utter lies
sunny1shine
Love the media, they call a dog they have no picture of a 'pit bull' then show a photo of this womans sweet dog - which had the story been reversed, the media would have been calling a 'pit bull'. If it bites someone = 'pit bull' for any confused media- this is a 'pit bull' those things you are calling 'pit bulls' are just mixed breed dogs. Steph M
I had the mental image of some nutter swinging a shopping trolley at someone. WTF. Haha. Happy I was corrected!
Guest Clover
Steph M same here, I was thinking someone works out. I hope the lady recovers ok, and the police get to the bottom of what really happened. It is all quite bizarre.
disintegratus
That pitbull should definitely be put down, he's a blight on polite society! Also, I once listened to one of his songs, and there's nothing I can do to get those 3 minutes of my life back. Nothing. I think he should have to pay for that.
