Labrador Breeders And Questions

Honestly not that colour matters to me but I kinda don't like the chocolate/liver colour, the blue eyes are cute but if I was going off colour the black or yellow are my preferred. I will be in Victoria so I would see the puppies mother. I'm pretty sure the breeder doesn't breed for colour. What questions can I ask breeders?

No Labrador should have blue eyes - not even the chocolates.

Labrador puppies, like many others are born/ can be born with blue eyes, they soon change to a brown after a few weeks.

There are certainly a number of excellent breeders in WA & more than 2 so not sure what kind of research you have done .

You will find numerous breeders showing most weekends .

For the many years I lived in WA, the better known breeders in WA didn't advertise much. They always had waiting lists. But they were friendly enough and would pass on referrals to people who have used their dogs (as studs). When I was in WA, Glenice McClure at Blackboy Labs, in particular, had a long history of working toward the dual purpose ideal. I expect there are some great newer breeders as well.
