quena
Hi I have a 5 month old German Shepherd pup with a pink nose, is there anything I can give the puppy to make it darker. It is black on the outside of the nose and pink in the middle.

Rebanne
Hi I have a 5 month old German Shepherd pup with a pink nose, is there anything I can give the puppy to make it darker. It is black on the outside of the nose and pink in the middle. whereabouts are you? Colour of pup? Is this new or has she always had it? If it was winter time I'd wonder about snow nose. Some dogs can have a reaction to plastic feed bowls. Photo would be good :)
oakway
Was it like this when you purchased the dog ?.
pepe001
It may be a white German shepherd. I googled snow nose and got this - interesting. http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/care/pinknosedog.htm
quena
Thankyou for the replies, our pup is only 5 months old, she had a dark nose when she was younger, we have only had her since she was 4 months old, her nose looks like the photo in the link, sorry bit I am not able to get a photo at the moment. Her colour is black and tan.
oakway
Full pigmentation "may" come back with the warmer weather and more sunshine. :)
Bjelkier
Sounds like it might be snow nose. More common in some breeds than others and it might get darker in the summer. All but one of my samoyeds has snow nose over the winter and come summer they're pitch black again.
