Two Best Dogs!
I should know better than to read these things on public transport but the bittersweet really hits the heart. I hope all your pets live a long happy life. http://www.robynarouty.com/i-died-today/ (Go to this link to view a lovely story/'poem' on dukey's last day) Edited October 7, 2015 by Thistle the dog

White Shepherd mom
It reminded me of two "last days" and the tears are rolling. He was a lucky dog to be so loved. I should know better than to read these things.
Dave-o
Yep, saw this on Facebook earlier. It's how my first dog died, so brought back memories...
nyssel
I thought I could be strong reading through this. I bawled by the middle of it. So incredibly beautiful, a sad yet loving ending to a much beloved dog's life. The photos really captured his last moments. He was clearly loved <3 Oh god I need more tissues Edited October 9, 2015 by nyssel
westiemum
Although I'm bawling I'm so pleased I looked at it - now I know what to do for Mac...
Panto
Although I'm bawling I'm so pleased I looked at it - now I know what to do for Mac... I'm so fragile today that I wasn't going to look at this, but your post urged me to read it. Sending hugs and all the best for Mr Mac. This is exactly how we were able to say goodbye to Panto, except of course, the running and the park due to her disability. She was surrounded by so much love. I'm a bawling mess now but I'm glad I looked at it. eta: acutally, the day before, we took in a final sunset at the headlands on a picnic rug. It was gorgeous and bittersweet. gillybob
It brought back memories of my Bob and Molly and Blake. I lost Bob and Molly on the same day. It nearly broke my heart even now 3 years after it is hard to think about. So a good cry by me too. But he was happy and loved and that's all a dog can be isn't it, loved and happy.
