Wardy
We have a 2year old intact Golden Retriever boy which we took ownership of when he was one year old. Up to the time we took ownership he was an 'outside' dog and we had to let him learn how to behave appropriately when he came to us as we wanted hime to be and inside/outside dog. He is very healthy and a typical 2 year old GR we have noticed however that if he lies in one place for a while when he gets up there are spots of fluid (not much) left where he was lying. I don't know if this is urine or some sort of discharge from that area. If anybody has had a similar experience I would welcome any suggestions/ideas. Mjosa
Never experienced this with my dogs, but personally I would take him to the vet and have him checked out as he could have an infection. Is the spotting clear or opaque?
Salukifan
Some level of penile discharge is normal in a male dog but if you think it is excessive, if it is bloody or he is licking excessively, then a vet visit is recommended. I'd rather feel a bit foolish being told the discharge is normal than ignore something that might be more serious. I'm sure your vet has seen it before.
