Kirislin
I remember this comb from when I was a kid. It was fantastic for stripping out the old coat of one of our dogs. I was the only one to groom him and I loved this little comb. I was helping clean out my mothers house and this very nearly got chucked but I spotted it first and rescued it. Looking alot worse for wear now but still works brilliantly. That white stuff is from my poor old mares scurfy coat. I've been out there trying to strip her Winter coat. Does anyone know where I could get one of these. I dont want something similar, I want one just like this. 5F6A2721_1 by kirislin, on Flickr Edited October 2, 2015 by Kirislin

I saw most of those. I really wish they still made these ones. I will probably just get a hacksaw blade and fix a handle onto it if I cant get one the same. *kirty*
I have this one and it is fantastic! Great on short haired dogs, and yes the hair just falls off as you go. :)
_PL_
I've had one of those (in your photo kirslin) rolling around in my grooming stuff for 20yrs. Surface rust but still straight and never used. Happy to post it. Edited October 2, 2015 by Powerlegs

grace
A fish scaler does the same job as does a hacksaw blade.
Kirislin
A fish scaler does the same job as does a hacksaw blade. perhaps they do, but I'd have to buy both of them so easier to just buy the product that was designed for it.
Katdogs
A fish scaler does the same job as does a hacksaw blade. Oh I just realised it looked like a fish scaler to me! There's one in an old box with lines in our shed. Should I try that on Jodie? She hates the longer rake I use in the big dogs but she so rarely seems to need brushing.
