You Care More About Your Dogs Than.......

We rearranged our laundry and bought a double cupboard to store all the coats, blankies, treats and miscellaneous items in. That's just practical! Then we bought a coffee table with sliding doors on it so their toys could hide inside one side. There is also a crate in the shed containing doggy dress up gear (mostly Stussy's and mostly for Christmas). The number of beds though - well they are hard to find hiding spaces for (on top of the ones already spread throughout the house). I make a lot of their gear though so don't really spend much money.

And I am a firm believer in colour coordination. The collars, harnesses, tags, leads, poo bag holders, collapsible bowls AND treats pouches must match for each dog or we are simply not leaving the house!

Haha! I would totally bail people on my dog's birthday and adoption day. And bail quite regularly on most things that happen to conflict with "dog socialising night" and sundays are just completely off unless it is something important like a wedding or baby shower. Sorry guys, but you know I won't do things on those days!

All but one of the most important people in my life are dog people anyway so they totally get my loyalty to my pack and the other one is my mum and she loves them in her own way (doesn't understand my addiction but bless her she tries) and always asks about how they are going and worries when one of them is sick.

I can't say I'm overly interested in even knowing people who try to come between my dogs and I. They're my family, end of story.

Since I hurt my back, Dozer has been my daily companion.

He knows when I'm having a good day or a bad day and we just chill together for a lot of the time but on a good day he's still careful to not play as rough with me as he does with the boys.

With my OH working afternoon shift I am alone for pretty much half the day and if I didn't have Dozer to keep me company I probably would have completely lost my marbles..

Most of my friends are animal people and understand where I'm coming from, there's the odd person who doesn't but I usually don't pay much attention.

This sounds amazing and I wish I had this setup. :D I do have a floor to ceiling 6 level cupboard in the hallway that is designated completely to pet stuff. It's currently overflowing so I also have clothes hooks on the bedroom door completely dedicated to hanging leashes, collars and harnesses. That is also now completely overflowing so a couple of harnesses and coats have decided to make the space underneath the decorative foyer table as their new home. Yep everything needs to be colour coordinated, Breeze's colour is blue so all equipment is in every shade of blue possible!

And I only have the one dog!! (and one cat but she doesn't have any leashes or harnesses!)

I do think my family and friends sometimes resent or think I place too much importance on my pets but honestly they make me happier than anything else, they enrich my life and I love them so I don't really care what others think. My girl gets me active, introduces me to lots of new friends and places through dog clubs and other doggy activities. She is hugely important to me. I am single, I don't have children, I don't drink or smoke or go out clubbing so I justify spending my money on what makes me happy - my pets. I tend not to talk about my girls around my family and non-doggy friends because they just don't understand and the conversation always turns to some form of them judging or ridiculing me.... I don't like humans much.

But their not always the dogless. They're just the ones with dogs as pets at times.

So id go for one of the others, and doggles is a brand, so would have to be duggles

I don't prefer my dogs company to that of other people but when I am enjoying my own company it's not quite the same if Kira is not part of that, so for me my alone time is time with my dog.

I love having her involved in as many aspects of our lives as possible but I never find it necessary to not do things just because I have a dog.

I have also never had anyone comment negatively about how I prioritise her. My friends and work colleagues get it and there is no issue with me staying home with her if she is unwell etc. My parents are also fantastic and if for some reason I am worried about her they won't hesitate to drive over to our house and check on her whilst we are at work.

My Mum is the same, she will often check on the hounds or stay overnight with them if we need to be away overnight.
