bianca.a
Hi all, I am looking for some help please. My Grandmother will be 91 in November and I would like to visit her. I need accommodation myself and for 2 GSD's, preferably with some outside fencing so they can toilet etc off lead. Thank you in advance for any help. Pjrt
Can you clarify do you mean the suburb of North Adelaide, or Northern suburbs of Adelaide, or out of the suburban area north of Adelaide?
ness
Secretkei has used a place at Glenelg when she stayed with at least a Ridgeback. Small fenced yard. Let me go and see if I can find the link - http://www.stayz.com...e/glenelg/34463 Think I also had friends stay here with 2 medium breed dogs - http://www.stayz.com...aide-city/84675 Edited August 30, 2015 by ness
bianca.a
blinkblink, I think I mean the northern suburbs of Adelaide (my parents stay in a hotel somewhere around there)! Thanks Ness, they look great. I appreciate it both of you :)
Mrs Rusty Bucket
Northern suburbs of Adelaide stretch from North Adelaide to Gawler and beyond... a distance of 42 km or more. It might be helpful for us to know which suburb your Grandmother will be in for visiting.
bianca.a
Ok thank you. I will leave this thread until a bit later as my Grandmother broke her hip 2 weeks ago and will hopefully be moving into a rehab facility in the next few days. So I'm not sure if she will even be home in November. But she lives in Broadview.
bianca.a
Thank you Snook, I appreciate it :) I haven't been to Adelaide for probably 30 years! She's moving into a rehab home tomorrow so will wait a bit and see closer to her birthday where she will be.
Mrs Rusty Bucket
Rehab is often done at Hampstead Hospital, Hampstead road http://www.sahealth.sa.gov.au/wps/wcm/connect/public+content/sa+health+internet/health+services/hospitals+and+health+services+metropolitan+adelaide/hampstead+rehabilitation+centre/hampstead+rehabilitation+centre And that's near Broadview. There's a few caravan parks along the Torrens - North East of the city that would be convenient to that area but I'm not sure if they're dog friendly or cheap. One I have seen dogs inside the fence is http://adelaidecaravanpark.com.au/ It's right next to linear park - which has some designated dog off lead areas - but it's a good idea to keep the dog on lead on the bike tracks - because the chance of being hit by a commuter cyclist or lost tourist is high. There's also Levi Park (this would be closest to Broadview) http://www.levipark.com.au/ And Windsor Gardens (sometimes a bit feral) http://www.windsorgardenscaravanpark.com.au/
