He likes me to take photos and he enjoys I.Ding the birds in his encyclopaedia when we get home. We have just come back from the QLD museum (where he was meant to be going to the dinosaur discovery exhibit but instead got stuck at the birds) He had and absolute ball looking at all the birds and learning about them, looking at all the different birds eggs and nests. We went to the botanical gardens after that and we saw Pied Cormorants, little black cormorants, galahs, scaly breast lorikeets and a brush turkey. catbrit Posted July 11, 2015 Author Share Posted July 11, 2015 Yes I love him too. He is a real little naturalist!! Birds were the last thing I expected him to get into. He is a little OCD about them. It is very cute. We are definitely encouraging his love of birds and nature. It is wonderful. tdierikx Posted July 12, 2015 Share Posted July 12, 2015 I'm starting as a student volunteer keeper at Featherdale next friday... at some point I'll have to do a rotation with all the birds there... hopefully that nasty female little eagle won't recognise me in keeper uniform... lol! Featherdale have a huge number of birds... from the tiny finches through to wedge tailed eagles... I can't wait to get up close to a few of them... T.
