Canisbellum
I have been wanting to do this for a while and have bitten the bullet. Going to do 1 or 2 at a time due to cost, had these done a week or so ago. All about 70cm long with different Heights depending on cropping. Ignore my landlords green walls please Edited July 9, 2015 by Canetoad
Kirislin
good on ya! I've still never printed any of my photos, although other people have. They're a great reminder for you of good times had.
Roova
They look great! Can I ask who you used? Every now and then I think about printing photos then I get confused between online places or say Big W etc
Canisbellum
I used a local place called BlackCrow Studios. I also looked at Harvey Norman etc but decided to support a local. Visualising the size was difficult in my mind they were going to be enormous but they aren't. New one in the works is 100 X 70, now that's big. Of course cost is another factor, my wallet does not support my desires.
huga
Getting them printed somewhere like BigW is very risky. Their machines are all over the place, which is why they are so cheap. I had a client print some B&Ws there and they came out so magenta. Most of my work gets printed through Momento (albums, cards etc) and actual prints from NuShots. I've been obsessed with stone prints for a while and can't wait to keep adding to this wall:
Ripley
I'm about to give a memory stick to my bestie after I took photos of her newborn. I spent a lot of time in PS getting the ruddiness out of his skin and flakiness and I don't want her to go to Big W or Harvey Norman which she will! Maybe I should just get some printed for her? She kindly bought me a bottle of expensive French champagne for doing this as I don't like taking photos out of my comfort zone (landscapes and wildlife) so I want her to like them. Wonder how much I'll be up for and how big I should print them. Maybe just get some standard sizes to start with?
Canisbellum
Well I was quoted for 70cm X 50cm on canvas $154 100 X 70 cm $300 150 X 100cm $600 This is in outer woop woop so no doubt it will be cheaper in the big smoke.

Dave-o
Something to be proud of!! Looks good!! I normally use mojopro. The quality of the canvas is excellent, much better than what you get at Big W etc.

huga
WOW! Salivating over those pics, they look amazing! I'm about to look up those places, thank you :) Those prints are from On Stone in Melbourne. They are much more gorgeous than my crappy phone pic suggests, I promise. The frames are recycled fencing and they use discarded packaging from the QV Markets. I love them so much. Canisbellum
My bad, I thought Roova was talking about my pics. I blame Tapatalk that doesn't show the whole quote unless you click on a continue reading button. ^_^ Edited July 18, 2015 by Canetoad
Roova
Yours are great too CT! I really like the wood edging on Hugas photos though, is really adds to the overall look and seems to give the photos extra pop. The pricing is not too bad but I can see myself on Pinterest looking up how to make a wooden frame out of a pallet next lol.
