Little Gifts
What did he have to get done? One of his eyes looks odd and his chest is shaved so I'm not sure what that all means! Poor bubba but only you would take groovy cone shots!
huga
He's got a puncture on his right eye, so the vet stitched his third eyelid across. Shaved patch is because he ended up with a massive hot spot at the same time. Bloody dog
huga
God, me too. I'm actually slightly panicky about it (and the vet knows it) because he's already deaf. I can't have him lose an eye!
Pjrt
Oh dog I LOVE that first photo of him looking at the lamp shade "hmm, I sense we have something in common"
Kirislin
Poor Sid, get well soon buddy. You could do a funny photoshop job and have a beam of light shining out from his lamp shade too, looking up at the other lamp shade like ships in the night

Mrs Rusty Bucket
I think I might be putting the cone of shame on my evil hound tonight in the hopes I get some sleep. She's a sneaky wound chewer... likes to do it when she thinks I'm asleep but she wakes me up doing it.
huga
Poor Sarah! What happened? I took Sid out for a walk today, first break from the cone. He was good while we were walking, but when we stopped he was rubbing his eye all over the ground :/
huga
I don't think so, I stopped him pretty quickly. He is just so desperate to get to it. I hate that he's uncomfortable, but there's nothing I can do really. Back to the vet tomorrow for another check up, but everything looks the same to me - stitches still in place. Leah82
Sarah had a tumor removed from her eye lid, she's doing ok and getting used to the cone hitting things, it'll be on until this weekend which is a pain as she won't even attempt drinking with it on so she's getting fluids through syringe But yes like Sid the eye is fun to scratch as soon as you take the cone off

huga
Ok so his stitches had slipped a bit, but the vet just tightened them up. Before he did, he had a look at the damaged part and said it's healing well. Fingers crossed.

Nah syringing is actually easier, she's a bit of a shy drinker unless she's really thirsty, doesn't like having her head in a bowl not being able to see what's going on. Even if I walk past her while she's drinking her head is straight up looking at me going 'move on, nothing to see here' Glad Sid is recovering ok Huga, Sarah is mostly back to herself, just with a cone on.
