Kirislin
Do all breeds suffer the indignity that male Italian Greyhounds have to endure to have their photograph in a Brown Trout calendar? They have their penises removed. I haven't looked at any other breeds but I suspect whippets would get the chop too. I think it's perverse and would refuse to buy one but I have a friend who gets one every year and we have a laugh about the poor eunuch Iggies. WreckitWhippet
Unless the calendars are produced by breed clubs with decent dog photographers the dogs usually look like poor specimens of the breed and I refuse to buy one. Who wants to see dogs with only three legs, few hallmarks of a breed, light eyes and half the time they resemble cross breds
shapeshifter
On the covers of some of the others they definitely have left them, boxers, bloodhounds, jack russell, maybe it was the person submitting the photos not Brown Trout themselves?

I'll see if I can get my friend to photograph some examples. It's pretty bizarre.
Pjrt
Ihad a flick through their covers and there's not much dog dick going on. A sort of smudge there on some of them. But I did notice the Teacup Chihuahua, and the Labradoodle.........

Mrs Rusty Bucket
Lhok are you confusing a "brown trout" with a "blind mullet"? Seems the Dalmatians are allowed to keep their bits http://www.browntrout.com.au/products/6610-dalmatians-2016-square-12x12/categories:99-dog-breeds

Mrs Rusty Bucket
As an actual eating fish - a brown trout is really nice. Much nicer than a rainbow trout. and if you crapped a rainbow trout - maybe a visit to the doctor would be appropriate unless you had a thing for hundreds and thousands? We have a whippet one of theirs and this month is a male whippet and I remember looking at it a few days ago and wondering.. where is the end of its penis? Must be REALLY high up its belly or something.. Edited to add.. This month's photo. Edited May 18, 2015 by Maddy

denali
That is so bizarre! However this comes after 3 separate people in the past week saying "i wont own male dogs as i like to rub their belly without all the bits in the way" good..
Mrs Rusty Bucket
"i wont own male dogs as i like to rub their belly without all the bits in the way" I'd agree with that. The other thing that bothers me is leg cocking (especially inside), but I know you can train them not to do that and some females will do it too. *kirty*
I was like that for a long time denali. Boys were just gross in my mind lol. I still prefer the look of girls, but have gotten over my fear of dog bits and now have two boys.

Mrs Rusty Bucket
omg a penis!! I know. It's not safe to play with a penis if it's not yours... (ok there's no way to say that right).
Kirislin
Maybe they are all females? Nope definitely not all females. They often leave part and you can tell it used to have a penis once. This years cover has a once upon a time male.
