Christina
I have always microchipped puppies even before it became compulsary for registered breeders. I used to put the microchip straight in the new owners name & send it in myself. Now the vet fills in a litter registration form & submits it & I have to tranfer it over or give it to them. Is this with all microchip registries ? or is it only the one my current vet is using ?
JRG
that seems to be the system in Victoria
Mjosa
It has been a couple of years now since I had a litter here but I got individual microchip forms for each puppy and I filled them in with the details of the new owners and I posted them off once signed at the time that they picked their puppies up, it could have changed by now. steppenwolfstaffords
i think its just how its done now, there is one free change on microchip ownership for the new puppy buyers tho
Mjosa
That is right, no charge when I send them off.
Christina
Spoke to them yesterday over something else & asked. Yes you can put the microchip in the new owners name, except in Victoria, so it seems its my vets choice.
