Brookestar
raising the bowl is the solution. It is also much better for their backs, joints and spine, as it has them standing in a correct position, not putting undue pressure on any joints or the back/spine. persephone
how frustrating will it be - trying to bury a raised bowl
Stitch
The slow feeder bowl arrived a few days ago....and it is a success!! She realised she cant bury the food now, having tried and failed, so she ends up eating it all. Only problem is that the non-skid bowl aspect of the bowl still skids but at least the food isn't on the floor any more. :)

The one I bought is non skid - perhaps you can put it in a corner where she can't push it around.

Stitch
Yep, I have found over the years that it only takes a slight tweeking of the dogs environment to produce a totally different outcome. It really helps when we can share ideas on a forum like this. I think for the bowl to be truly non skid it would need to be bolted to the floor....she ends up pushing it into the corner herself!
