VizslaMomma
Stand Down, Sarbi. Your tour is over. You did your duty beyond what you were asked. EDD Private Sarbi, now at rest. I bet Vegas gave you a great Welcome when you arrived at the Rainbow Bridge. At the very start of this month, we were at Sarbi Park when I had the joy to see this girl again.... little did I know then. http://www.smh.com.au/environment/animals/canine-war-hero-sarbi-visits-brisbane-dog-park-named-in-her-honour-20150228-13rftu.html Edited March 28, 2015 by VizslaMomma
mita
Well done, Sarbi girl, you made us all so proud. My heart goes out to her handler & his family. As VM said, early in March Sarbi visited Brisbane to open a park named in her honour at Warner. And it includes a life-size bronze statue of the lovely girl. VizslaMomma
this is the article about Sarbi when she got found and returned to the OZ Forces at Tarin Kot. Apart from her handler, her best love was a yellow ball.... She tolerated Rudd as well.... http://www.darkgovernment.com/news/lost-army-dog-found-14mos-later-in-afghanistan/ Keep in mind her humans searched for her for months and were in deep despair. eta: typical Press made an error in spelling her name. VizslaMomma
Ahem. LABRADOR cross. This is such a great story. Thanks for posting. And that was the most special part of her skills, Lu. That laid back nature but determination that you know Labs have, got her thro' so much. Nothing phazed her when on duty.
