Yonjuro
I have these tools for my husky, they are not cheap, but great quality - you will probably notice I am a bit of a gear freak  Greyhound brush http://groomersparadise.com/images/Product_Pics/Brush_Pics/Medium-Boar-and-Nylon.jpg Greyhound comb http://groomersparadise.com/images/Product_Pics/Comb_Pics/Beauty-Sparkle-B.jpg Chris Christensen 20mm fusion oval brush http://chrischristensenaustralia.com.au/shop/fusion-series-oval-fusion-pin-brush/ Chris Christensen Mark VI medium curved slicker brush http://chrischristensenaustralia.com.au/product-category/grooming-accessories/brushes/slicker-brushes/page/2/ Forced air blower http://www.petnetwork.com.au/variable-speed-dryer-with-heat-blue-cs2400w/ Nail grinder http://groomersparadise.com/show_toes.htm EDIT : I thought it was for sptiz breeds in general so some of my stuff may not be ideal, but I think by going with longer pins etc there will be similar items that may be worth considering?? :) Edited February 12, 2015 by Yonjuro
Bjelkier
Yonjuro pretty much wrote out what I have lol The most important items when owning spitz breeds are your good quality comb and force dryer. Everything else is nice but you can live without it. Avoid rakes and those rotten furminator things they cut the top coat and combs do a much better job at removing the undercoat

Aleksandra 157
Thank you all so much...great advice. Its something I've just let slide ,but I like to keep on top of the grooming or else it's dreadful if it mats .and they look so good ,and feel better once all that hair is out. :) Edited February 12, 2015 by Aleksandra
Jumabaar
Love love love love combs for my crew. I have brushes etc but I always end up reaching for the comb at the beginning and end of a grooming sessions :) I have used a Ferminator on my Kelpie and gave her a small bald patch!! They are amazing in certain very specific situations (really bad spey/geriatric coats come to mind) but I can count the number of times I have felt the need for it on one hand! So not worth spending money on for the general population when you could buy more combs instead

Dogsfevr
A comb, pin brush & soft slicker is all you need & you don't need to spend the prices of the CC stuff posted ,plenty of good quality gear out there at half the price & still last just as long if not longer . Guest donatella
I use as recommended by a dol groomer the Plush Puppy anti static comb. It's great but gives me blisters ????
denali
Yep a comb. Truly the only brush you need! But it has to be a good quality comb.

Try the Bass brushes. Cheaper than Chris Christensen and good quality. Available from Petnetwork
