Mrs Rusty Bucket
Hi all - this isn't technically news, but it's on the telly. Feel free to locate thread if it works better elsewhere... Planning to catch this if my dog on "official rest" which means no leash walking for a week - will let me. Sigh. http://www.yappyhourtv.com.au/ A new dog lovers' TV show airing on Adelaide Channel 44 on 7pm Mondays, repeating Thursdays 7pm and 9am Saturdays. grumpette
They came out to film the Newfoundland Club of Victoria doing water rescue at Lilydale Lake last weekend. We had Newfies and non Newfies present: Rottweiler, Leonberger, Portuguese Water Spaniel, several Labradors. Mrs Rusty Bucket
I'd like to see the water dog rescue stuff. Will be interesting to see what they make of it. Are they still filming "dog tv" in Vic or is this it for community dog shows for now?
grumpette
I think that they are still filming here. Maybe contact them MRB if you have a story idea.
Mrs Rusty Bucket
I think that they are still filming here. Maybe contact them MRB if you have a story idea. That's a good idea. It's funny how I just don't think of TV shows as at all interested in outside ideas...
grumpette
They have to get their stories from somewhere, and sometimes we need to do their research for them by telling them about possible story leads. You can only ask. :D

I wish I'd known about this, I would've gone along for a look see.

Kirislin, we have permission from council to have the dogs off lead while they are working in the water, and we have the area of the far beach roped off to stop the public walking through, but that does not always work. Our next water training day at Lilydale Lake will be on Sunday 29th March at 10am. You are welcome to come down and have a look. We are also holding a Giant Dog's Picnic Funday, which will be held at Lilydale Lake from 10.30am - 2.30pm on Sunday 19th April, if you would like to come along. I'm assuming other dogs cannot go in the water unless they are with your group. I might have a friend and kids staying with me then, (school hols,) but if not I'll come down with my camera (and no Neko)
