Stressmagnet
I have scoured the internet and cannot find what I want. I'm hoping someone here knows of a store I've missed or someone who does custom work. I'd like to buy a black leather dog lead with some turquoise 'bling' in it for Ernie. Short of paying $170 PLUS shipping from the US, I'm stuck. Georgia, my previous dog, had a lovely tan leather one with a few pink crystals set into it - sounds awful but, really, it looked great. The manufacturer's name wore off over the years or I'd try them again. It's a great lead, strong enough to hold an excited muscular dog -- I've been using it for Ernie the Idiot but I'd like to get him one of his own. I'm pretty sure I've checked all the stores that come up on Mr. Google and I'm wasting far too much time on this, I think. I just want a nice black leather lead with some tasteful bling. Is that too much to ask? Ps. I even checked the old threads here - I'm hoping someone, somewhere has started something new. Thanks folks, and forgive me if this sort if thing has been asked a kajillion times before. Edited January 20, 2015 by Stressmagnet
indigirl
Have you tried Ruthless Leather? I haven't bought any of her leads but I have several collars and they are stunning. Find her on facebook and you can see all the pics of what she makes. Edited January 20, 2015 by indigirl
Jemmy
Ruthless leather are closed at the moment, but they open in Feb and I think they're your best bet for what you're looking for. I'm in the market too, I've signed up on their website to be notified by email when they reopen :)

Stressmagnet
Yup. I'm on her mailing list to be notified - just wanted to make sure that I hadn't missed anywhere -- and I figured if I HAD, you folks would know. Patience is not one of my virtues. Patience is not one of my virtues. if you write 'black leather dog lead with some turquoise' into your search-bar, then click on the 'Images' option, then click on the photo of the lead that you like, there is an option to choose a 'Go To Page'. I like the lead with the polar bears and turquoise by Zany Zac (it's a bit exxy though) edited to put in a comma so it'd make sense Edited January 20, 2015 by Boronia

For adorable boy dogs, aka Ernie, the Shogun model is great.
LisaCC
Karma Collars If you don't like their "matching leashes" that match their collars you can email them and get one done custom. Shipping is about $25 to Aus.

Find her on facebook and you can see all the pics of what she makes. Second Ruthless Leather -Zig and I have 3 RL leads (all for different things). I think the average lead is about $75 + postage (don't quote me but I think that is what I paid for his last one). Zig also has 2RL collars and he flogs them - in and out of water and mud every day in his flat collar. A wipe over and condition every so often and it still looks new a few years later! He has a martingale collar for training as well.

mackiemad
I'm pretty sure you said you were not spending any more monies for a while stressmagnet?! I'd also try leather workers like Wagner's - they specialise in horse showing gear but they made me a beautiful rolled leather collar that's beautiful and they would have some lovely bling options

Sail_Away
I have a custom made collar & lead from Ruthless and it is gorgeous!!! A friend of mine bought a collar & lead set from Karma collars online in the US - http://karmacollars.com and they are also quite nice, definitely not the quality of RL but they have beautiful designs, lots of jewels etc and can do custom too.
