redangel
Has anyone here used or heard of the Australian product Healthy Mouth? It is a drinking water additive for dental/oral hygiene for dogs and cats. I was given a pamphlet by the vet on my recent visit. Looking for opinions. cavNrott
I bought the Healthy Mouth product and the dogs won't touch the bright green water. Because one of my dogs is on the diuretic Frusemide, amongst other meds for congestive heart failure, he needs to drink plenty of water so waiting it out is not a safe option for us. Be warned, this product is insanely expensive, with postage it cost $82 for a 250ml bottle. Healthy Mouth turns the water a very bright green and with great suspicion both dogs backed away from it. In my effort to encourage them to drink I had to dilute the product to the point where it would be ineffective. Bright green must be one of the colours dogs can readily identify and they know water is not supposed to be this colour. Until the manufacturer finds a way to dilute the bright green colour of the water I won't buy Healthy Mouth again. I'll go with the paw paw option in future.
