griff
I hope this ok to post , for those that go there often and have more knowledge than me . . . I have just visited BP, and the smell was horrible I think it was due to the new re do of walls and floors what ever is on some walls has been chewed by the dogs and was wondering what the heck this new added 'stuff' is and how safe it is
_PL_
Chemical smell? I haven't seen their renovated setup but if they have used waterproof non porous two-part epoxy type coatings, they do need to cure for a while in good ventilation which does make quite a powerful smell. It's excellent disease control for sealing concrete and brickwork where pathogens live but takes some time to set. I doubt it's ok to be chewed while still soft. Just speculating. :) Maybe someone who has first hand knowledge will post.
JRT RESCUE
Probably a silly question but had the kennels been cleaned as I have been there a couple of times lately and they haven't been done and it smell terrible and I don't have must smelling. Darien
In the heat we are having it's almost impossible to completely get rid of the urine and faeces smell, even though the cages are cleaned daily at Charmhaven pound. It may well have been a combination of both the chemical and rest?
