grumpette
This is how Dee and Zeph kept cool today. Although Zeph was determined to keep the sprinkler out of the pool and make a mud pit to dig in (roll eyes) How are your dogs staying cool and comfortable? 02Dogs
- Doggy ice-blocks - spray water on their chest - Air con with me!! I have a clam pools for them but they use them as a giant water bowl!
Kirislin
that looks like fun. I couldn't afford the water although I did hose my mare down to cool her off.
grumpette
that looks like fun. I couldn't afford the water although I did hose my mare down to cool her off. I hear you Kirislin. We are very lucky to have access to a bore and very large roof area, including the shed, to catch rain water. We have a 34,000 litre in ground concrete tank and a 10,000 litre fire water/garden tank, so we are rather lucky. :)
helen
That is fantastic. I have a clam shell pool and my dogs think it is a huge water bowl. The only time they have been in it is when I lure them in with food lol. They need lessons from your dogs
Tassie
 Mine have been 'helping' me water the garden this morning - town water (though I do have 30 000 litres of tank water for emergencies). They are now damp (as I am  ) and tired and sleeping inside on the floor beside me. They are on the carpet at the moment, but will move onto the slate if they get too warm. Haven't broken out the clam shell yet - one of the problems with that for me is that bees drown in it .
HazyWal
I have the clam shell filled and sitting under a shady tree but where do I just find Maddie? Sunbaking in the middle of the yard she is clearly insane.
megan_
Mine hate the water, even in the heat. I wish they loved it - it would make keeping them cool so much easier.
helen
Mine love water - in a river, lake or ocean, just not in a clam shell pool hehehe
denali
Usually just sleeping hahah If its really hot i will be in the aircon- as will they. Otherwise we have mandatory 'dunkings' in the pool and they run around wet for the day. Kokoda would swim all day long but the other two arent fond of it. I just put them on the first pool step and they jump out again- but the relief you can see immediately. ETA: as we speak we are all on the couch doing it tough Edited January 3, 2015 by denali

Jemmy
I put some chunks of ice in Luna's water bowl. They're now spread around our living area and we're living in a slip and slide zone.
Zombie Bait
Brembo has been inside with the aircon on all day, plus ice blocks in his water bowl. Just got home and let him out to pee and then straight back into the aircon. I'm the fool that decided today would be the day to run errands - foolish woman lol. Back out into it I go! BC Crazy
Sonny has been " helping" Mr BCC hose this arvo. Stella hates the hose & runs for the hills. They both love swimming anywhere but won't use the calm shell I brought. Go figure.
The Spotted Devil
Mine love water - in a river, lake or ocean, just not in a clam shell pool hehehe Yes same! I had a pup here for a bit that loved it but my 2 would rather melt than use a clam shell.
