The Beauty Of A Wonderful Breeder

I have mentioned before how great it is to have a relationship with your breeder...

I sent Ronin's sister a present for her first birthday and our breeder a book called "Winterdance - the fine madness of running the Iditarod" (highly recommended book by the way) Just as a little token of how grateful I am to have one of their precious puppies.

Yesterday I received in the post the most wonderful card and book of Ronin's first 8 weeks that our breeder made up for us! I must say that this nearly brought a tear to my eyes as it was so lovely and obviously took a lot of time and care to put together :)

So the point of my post is just to say that finding a good breeder and continuing a relationship is so wonderful and rewarding, I consider her to be a friend now and we are always swapping stories and photos of our beautiful littermates.

It works both ways, Yonjuro. You are a pretty terrific owner as well.

BTW. Lock up your daughter - she is very lovely

Awww thanks DDD, that is very kind of you :)

And I am already living in fear of Caitlins teenage years.

That's so nice. I'm so lucky to have a similar relationship with Nala's breeder.

I recently had professional photos of her done at a dog show and she said to let her know when they were up on the net as she wanted to have a look. I did so, and then she tells me she's buying them for herself! Lovely to know that she loves this girl so much still, that she's buying photos of her. She's also just sent me texts in the past with a photo of Nala's dad saying look how similar they are!

It's wonderful, and something that I miss with Cleo's breeder but I understand that some people are just different and dalmatians are not her "breed" as much as another breed is (her heart breed). I am still grateful to her though, as without her influence I would not be in the place I am today with my dallies.
