Tropic Shower

Hi, does anyone have a Tropic Shower? It's an attachment that you connect to the washing machine taps so you can wash the dogs with warm water using a hose. I thought I had it set up right but obviously not cause water comes out where it shouldn't :noidea: My washing machine doesn't have a hose for hot water so the water comes out the empty connection where if would connect. I'm thinking I might need to buy something to plug it? I did think the lever would stop the water flow but that didn't work. I do hope someone can make sense of this l  I've googled but not found an answer. TIA

It is designed to mix hot and cold water so not really the right thing for you to be using. You need some sort of single connection.

Do you mean you have a hot tap on the wall, but not a hot hose on the washing machine? You would need some kind of plumbing/hose stopper because from what I understand the lever only controls the hose headed towards the dogs, and the washing machine is unaffected.

Yes that's what I mean. Son in law said he'll stop by tomorrow to have a look :)

Thanks for the replies.

How did you go Gretel?

I adapted one today for outside tapes. Just got a couple of caps from Reece for the washing machine connection bits.

Lovely son in law put a cap on it so that bits all good. Trouble is the connections burst off when I bathed the dogs  Next step is to try some better hose fittings.

Yes the connection popped off in the laundry. I had water fountaining out the door

You could try that white tape. I've put it on every connection because I know they have a rep for being leaky.
