immo
Hey everyone, I'm sure this question has already been asked before but I've been doing a little bit of research and didn't find anything. So I thought I would ask on here, I am looking for a Norwegian buhund breeder or Norwegian buhund puppies for sale in Australia and preferably the Victoria region. I know it's a long shot but if anyone could help that would be greatly appreciate :)
Bjelkier
I'm fairly certain there are none in the country.

Pjrt
They look a little like the Finnish Spitz, and temperament possibly closer to the Schipperke?
Kavik
Norwegian Elkhound?
cannibalgoldfish
Shiba? Creams in particular, which are a fault but do crop up and go to pet homes.
RuralPug
A very similar Scandinavian herding breed that is well established in Australia is the Finnish Lapphund.
Bjelkier
The Norwegian Elkhound would be the closest in appearance and temperament that we have in australia. There are also Samoyeds, Finnish Lapphunds, Swedish Lapphunds (very rare), Swedish Vallhund if you are after a herding temperament. Or Finnish Spitz, Akita (american or japanese) or Shiba. immo
Thanks for the suggestions everyone :) I do really like the Finnish Lapphund, especially the tricolor ones. Would anyone be able to point me in the direction of a breeder that would be expecting a litter soon? That would be very appreciated Thanks! Bjelkier
Have a look on the DOL lapphund breeder listing. I believe there are a few puppy notices up at the moment.
RuralPug
I agree with Bjelkier - start on this page and follow the links from there. Sometimes you need to be patient waiting for a puppy, but that just gives you more time to learn in depth about the breed! :)
