DesertDobes
My male dobe broke his toe last week, vet said it was fine to heal on its own with no splint which was good news... idiot dog has now cut the same foot badly on his pad! This was after female dog decided she had a phantom complete with morning sickness at 5am every morning! I have been bathing in a dilute iodine solution once a day and keeping it bandaged to keep the dirt out. Any other suggestions? Brain transplant for dog?? OSoSwift
I would keep bandaging it, generally wounds heal better in a moist environment, so I would clean it with Iodine and then put some manuka honey or aloe gel on it when its bandaged. When it is healed it will take a little while to toughen up again. Hope things improve for you :)

He is already being confined for his broken toe, so no exercise for quite a while
Vehs
My GSD sliced open his foot on some glass in a river (assholes) - gauze and vet tape that I kept in the dog first aid kit in the car did the trick until we got to the vets and then it was similar there
HazyWal
Solugel. This stuff is brilliant my vet uses it all the time and recommends it highly for quick wound healing. Maddie sliced her pad badly and a couple of days of Solugel applied once a day and wrapped it was healed. You just buy it from the chemist. http://store.independenceaustralia.com/solugel-woundcare-gel-50g.html
Yonjuro
I really like good old Lucas pawpaw ointment :) It heals very quickly.
