Vaccinations: Flying A Pup From Nz To Aust

Hi everyone,

Thanks to everyone who responded to my last question about purchasing a puppy from NZ. Its all going ahead, and im very excited.

My next question relates to vaccinations, and flying the pup from NZ to Melbourne.

At this stage, he is ready to fly, and has one vaccination. He will be due for a second vaccination in two weeks.

The breeder and pet transport have no problems with sending him with just the one vaccination. So just to be sure, I thought I would ask in here too.

I plan on giving my vet a call to double check. The last thing I want is the pup getting sick because he only has the one vaccination. Or does this not make a different?

My girl had only had the one vaccination when she came over from NZ. I think the only difference is the NZ vaccs don't do parvo?? Don't quote me on that :laugh:
