Would This Be Useful Today?

I have been going through some draws and having a clear out and have come across a telephoto lens doing nothing. I bought this many moons ago (read about 30 years) it is a Solinger - for Pentax 90-230 in excellent condition.

I figure it may as well be somewhere being useful if it is relevant in today's world.

I found these on ebay, I assume it's the same lens, you've put an "N" in your spelling

Yes it is the same, sorry about the spelling. Looks as though there are plenty out there, but perhaps not a lot of interest in them.

Aside from Kirislin's info that they are worth, well, nothing really. It may well work beautifully on a Pentax DSLR. But it might also stuff the electronics, so not worth the risk. Quite a lot of their old film-camera lenses are superb with Pentax and Sony/Minolta modern cameras.

You can usually donate them to a TAFE for photography courses, as they are generally required to start off with film cameras - the TAFEs will take old SLRs for student use.
