Long story short, we had her operated on by a very well known Sydney Orthopaedic Surgeon, (we live in Tassie, and wanted the best), very soon after diagnosis. We thought her show career was over, but we talked to the surgeon who assured us that she had operated on a number of big winning dogs around the country, who all resumed their show careers, after rehab, successfully

Not to be rude but isnt that a little bit of cheating? Your dog has a problem which would preclude it from breeding and after rehab it goes on as an entire dog to win shows? If it's becoming more common in your breed and this type of thing is happening it's not surprising. Champion on paper = $$ for puppies.

I didn't see anywhere where the dog was bred. Several years ago a GSD owner on here admitted her dog had severe HD. She was going to show him to his title then desex him.

Really sorry to hear about your older pup and what you are going through :(

I really feel for you as we were ignored by our ( supposedly reputable, ethical, show judge ) breeder. When we wanted resolutions to his issues, we were completely cut off.

We took ours to small claims and won. It was more the principle than the financial.

So sorry for your puppy's eyesight and OCD.

I DIDN'T BREED FROM HER... She was rehomed, DESEXED, after she achieved her title...

Is it cheating showing her with a diagnosed medical condition ??? No not in my eyes it wasn't, plenty of dogs running around the show rings all over Australia with diseases/medical issues precluding them from the 'breeding barn' I.e. HD/ED, (know of a Belgian Shep with hip score of over 100, and he's a multi Best in Show winner, and moves like a dream ???) OCD, PRA, Von Willibrands, ( ?Sp?), Epilepsy, etc, etc... We show our dogs as a fun weekend for the family, to find a judges opinion on our dogs. We are not big breeders, and we do not breed all the dogs we show, either. I know the whole purpose of exhibiting the dogs, is for judges to find the dog who more closely resembles the breed standard, and to evaluate breeding stock, but having a Ch, Gr Ch or Sup Ch, doesn't mean it HAS to be bred...
