Kirislin
I saw this puppy the other day. If I had to guess I probably would have said a cross between a kelpie and a chihuahua or papillon. I would have been wrong though. 5F6A4819dppt by kirislin, on Flickr 5F6A4828dppt by kirislin, on Flickr

Simply Grand
I wanna know!! Assuming it's a pure breed, I keep coming back to a Chihuahua, but it looks too big for a puppy Chi. Tell us......

Tell us...... If that's a Chi I'll eat my hat and someone else's, there's not a hallmark of the breed present

They are very distinctive if you know what you are looking at! I couldn't find the cup prize emoti, that's what I was looking for. I'd never heard of the breed before. It was a cute little thing, but it really did look like a kelpie Chi, or Pap x.

kelpiecuddles
So was it at the show? If so that's SO tricking LOL If you'd said it was at the show I would have actually been thinking breed but I went with the 'what's this random crossbreed' insinuation you had going on there

And I did say if I'd thought it was a mix of kelpie chi/pap I'd be wrong.
Loving my Oldies
What a cutie. I thought you were actually asking too, Kirislin.  I have seen some tan and black Chi's who look like "teacup" Kelpies. But that little dog is just too too cute.
Loving my Oldies
One of the images in the Link from Mita looks exactly like a Chihuahua and makes me wonder if there has been some careful blending along the way. They look great little dogs.

I agree DD, they do look like a healthy sized Chihuahua but with often gorgeous fringed ears ( I can see why Papillon also pops up).
huga
There were two Chi x Kelpies that came into the refuge recently. Odd looking little guys. They only weighed about 5kgs each.

RuralPug
I didn't see any kelpie hallmarks OR chi ones...I would have guessed a terrier mix as I have a foster here very similar except for colouring! Must read up on the brred temperment of these little guys...very attractive looking.
